Most Christians have been hearing the term ‘Baptism’ for years. And while many in the church have been baptized, do we know that it was commanded by God and that the Lord Jesus Christ Himself was baptized to set a precedent for us in the church? Do we really understand the ‘biblical method’ of baptism, and why it is also important for us to know the ‘significance’ of baptism? Today, Dr. Chivers will explore the history of baptism, the method of baptism and why Jesus–after His resurrection and before His ascension–commanded His disciples, and us, to baptize.
